A teary Brooke Shields approached the podium at Michael Jackson’s public memorial in Los Angeles today and spoke about the unique friendship the two shared as 1980s megastars thrust into the spotlight at a young age. In the special Michael Jackson commemorative issue of Rolling Stone hitting stands this week, the model-actress reveals the King of Pop asked her to marry him — more than once.
“I would say, ‘You have me for the rest of your life, you don’t need to marry me, I’m going to go on and do my own life and have my own marriage and my own kids, and you’ll always have me,’ ” Shields tells Rolling Stone. “I think it made him relax. He didn’t want to lose things that meant something to him.”
Shields says the innocent nature of the pair’s bond persisted as they grew older, and that as he aged, Jackson became “more asexual” to her. “You saw women who were more sexual, who wanted to throw themselves at him and feel like they were going to teach him,” she recalls, “we just found each other, and we didn’t have to deal with our sexuality.” Shields tells RS her conversations with Jackson about her relationships revealed a lot about how Jackson insulated himself from the outside world. “As I grew up and started having boyfriends, I would share with him, and he was like a little kid who talked about the bases — what first base was, what second base was, and it sounded very odd to the outside, I can imagine, but to the inside, to someone who’s never really left his bubble, you can understand how he would be curious.”

Well, I guess if anybody’s able to understand how much damage Jackson’s exploitative father did to him, it’d be Brooke Shields, whose own mother basically prostituted her.... how many of you knew she posed nude for Playboy at the age of 10?
She is gross and ugly in that picture. Hopefully Tom Cruise will bring up the drugs again. Tom is a scientology nut but Brooke is a bigger phony. Brooke’s management and mother pushed her to be around MJ becausze it was good PR for both of them.
The whole spectacle is sickening. “His poor children.” How did they become his children? Did he just go to Debby Rowe and order them like a sandwich? Poor white children bred to be adopted off to a disturbed pedophile and then to live with a greedy and fake black family. Madonna does the same sick thing by purchasing african babies. MJ situation was worse because he ordered these kids like a pair of shoes.
The few minutes I watched this morning was Shields and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her better looking.

She looks good but looked extremely uncomfortable and out of place on that stage today imo
I had heard that. And, I'm pretty sure she appeared nude in at least a couple movies before the age of 18 and maybe even 17. How that's not child porn, I'm not sure.

It's even worse when your mother is the one who takes you there....
Then again she, like Jackson's father, was essentially guilty of tossing her child into the gaping maw of a Hollywood publicity machine that was more than willing to chew them up.
I suppose it's no different from the ancient practice of sacrificing one's children to Ba'al Moloch....
She obviously never changed and is still a PR chasing wh*re like her mother was. Brooke has been a ghoul all her life trying to get press.
I can imagine women wanting Michael as a young man (late Seventies, early Eighties.) I cannot for the life of me imagine women wanting the Michael of the last ten years or so. That’s just nasty.
Brooke Shields, on the other hand, has aged a lot better.
And?
I saw Eddie Murphy in concert in (I think) 1984, and he had a rather funny but dirty description of the the job Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis would have in a Michael Jackson - Brook Shields relationship. (Well, at least if he (meaning Murphy) was MJ....)
