Hi Everyone. I'm looking for your help. I'm trying to compile a list of the world's largest news and information companies. (Things like AP, Reuters, CNN, Breitbart, Fox News, Sky News, etc.)
Also, if you have any information for which one is the largest (maybe a top 10 list for info.) And I don't mean large as in how much money... I mean large as in their tentacles spread far and wide and they have reporters in every nook and cranny.
All I ask is that you be honest, give me your best research (or guess) as well as any links. Thank you very very much. I love you all! Peace.
I had to track a story recently, for a client.
I found that out of 500 odd mentions of our client, the majority of those came from an AP story that was picked up nationwide and internationally.
I think the Reuters story of the same event was picked up maybe 10 out of the total, and 5 for Bloobmerg, out of the total of 500.
If that makes sense.
If you let me know more about what you want to know I might could help you.
The Big Six The U.S. media landscape is dominated by massive corporations that, through a history of mergers and acquisitions, have concentrated their control over what we see, hear and read. In many cases, these giant companies are vertically integrated, controlling everything from initial production to final distribution. Here is information about the largest U.S. media firms
