The awesome part is seeing Jeff Bridges in the end.
Plot: Flynn has to defeat MCP with the use of MS Vista..(just kidding).

God, I loved that flick.
Like good science fiction, it kinda, sorta anticipated an era when the world’s networks and databases would be linked and therefore vulnerable.
The part about an inadvertant artificial intelligence taking over the world needs some more time to cook.
Yet another in a long line of classics being remade since Hollywood can’t seem to come up with a new idea. Shame.
Having watched the trailer, I pronounce this version to be just another dumb CGI action movie.
I smell a remake that is going to suuuuuuuuck.
Someone recently posted here about this... On youtube there is footage of the “Flynn’s Arcade” they set up in San Diego for Comic-Con 2009. I won’t spoil the surprise, search for it over on youtube. Soundtrack is to feature Daft Punk.
Me too. Love Tron. I think it was Jeff Bridges 1st film (I think) and I have the 20th anniversary edition of the DVD.
It also was the breakthrough film that gave the idea that later films like the Matrix and Terminator copied: man vs machine.
If no Jeff Bridges, I wouldn;t care. Please God, dont make this into Dragonball Evolution...
Loved the original....
....this looks cool
Time will tell.
The two Disney-related actors who were created as “golden boys”, but who never achieved the superstar status that Disney seemed to want.
Jeff Bridges and Kurt Russell. They both seemed somewhat dim, but in different ways.
Word has it that Bruce is back as well..and David! (i.e. MCP from original)
Bump for later viewing
“TRON” was so far ahead of its time that it has taken almost 30 years to come up with a decent sequel. I’ll be watching...
David Warner as Sark..I can believe it. He’ still acting. Obviously he wants to get revenge on Flynn and ENCOM so that sounds plausible.
If you check out the Wiki link, amusingly they were trying their best to come up with a sequel but nothing worked. I agree, TRON was sooooo far ahead in special effects.
1982 was accdg to sci fi forums the greatest year in film: Tron, Blade Runner and Empire Strikes Back.
