I do not think the American people will ever elect another black man to the presidency ever again after Obummer even if that man was as far right conservative as they come and that is unfortunate. I think Obummer has irrevocably damaged the possibility of a black man or woman from ever achieving the presidency again. No American would trust such a person ever again IMHO.
That’s like saying no white man could ever get elected after Nixon.
I refuse to believe the American people would be shallow enough to indict an entire race based on the performance of one person. Elections are about politics, not ethnicity.
IMO.
I don’t agree entirely with your view. While I think it may take more time before a black runs again, I think that no matter who runs in future, the background will be given more vetting. There was a ton of info out there on 0bama and most of us here tried to warn others who this guy is but they did not listen. I hope to high heaven they learned and that understand they need to get beyond the D or the R and look closely at the person, what he/she stands for, what has been written by his or her own hand and said ( bet there will be lots of youtube) and that a great deal of attention will be paid to those with whom the candidate associates. Had the media ( apart from FOX) done this, rather than being the shills for this disaster in office, perahps we would not be in the position we find ourselves. The one bright lining is at last people are waking up and the people in Congress are getting a long overdue earful that they work of US and are using OUR money and WE pay their salaries...and we are NOT going to take lip from them..the high horses they have sat their big rumps upon have been made lame.
I wish you were wrong, but I’m afraid you may be right.
During the campaign, I told people that if Obama won, he would have to be the best president we’ve ever had or no blacks would be elected to the Oval Office for a long time.
