His sentence was reduced for good behaviour???
What, he sat in the corner quietly for 5 minutes?
He threatened and assaulted the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES!
I wonder what I’d get for throwing shoes at obama.
I can guess that nobody’d ever hear from me again.
Maybe we should be throwin’ shoes, not tea bags
He should have died INSTANTLY when he began to throw the second shoe. The Secret Service (or those who give orders of protocol) disgraced us and proved how vulnerable we are.
Exactly. In that short instance, NOBODY knew he was only throwing shoes.
Good question. The comparison would be interesting.
Shoe me once: shame on you. Shoe me twice: shame on me.
But he did it in Iraq, not in the US and was thus under Iraqi law. Was he trying to kill or seriously injure President Bush? No, he was trying to humiliate him. I put this in the ranks of the pie throwers, not a bomb thrower.
What would my punishment be in the US for chucking a shoe, a pie or an egg at Putin or Chinese president Hu if they visited the US?
First the Lockerbie bomber, now the shoe thrower. It’s been a bad few weeks for justice.
I guess we should’ve waited for the other shoe to drop.
