People read way too much into this stuff.Or not enough, apparently.
No proposed power taken by the government is any more righteous than its worst possible abuse. We are not talking about active and contagious TB here.

The 1918 pandemic wasn’t TB either, it was the Spanish Flu. The fact is, you dig enough, you will find every single agency that could be impacted, for every year going back at least 50 years will have something like this in place. Contingencies and procedures are always drafted so people know what to do, ‘just in case’.. hell, there is even a famous Department of Defense memo from the 60s on what to do ‘just in case’ of an alien encounter..
You have to keep bureaucrats busy doing something..

No its not TB. What makes this even more absurd. Influenza A doesn’t lend itself to quarantine. Aside from individuals staying out of the public square, there is no point to it.

There are inoculation programs for the H1N1 virus reportedly going on now to prevent the "pandemic' from spreading. Should you opt for the H1N1 flu shot, you'll test positive for exposure by the antibodies found in your system. This is much like the TB inoculations administered in Mexico and the Philippines (some others too) which show positive.
Personally, I wouldn't take the shot....I think the Swine flu pandemic is bogus.
(However, I'll defer to reputable doctor.)

No proposed power taken by the government is any more righteous than its worst possible abuse. If that's true we'd better fire all the police because their arrest powers are only as righteous as a knowingly wrongful arrest by a crooked cop.
