Need help with bankruptcy records.

I'm in the middle of an audit and I need records from a company that went bankrupt recently. The name is True North Home Systems in Kennebunk Maine. I last contacted them in January and they have since went belly-up. I have been in contact with the locality, (no response/ answer) and have been to the State dept of commerce, state atty gen, state court and nothing of any consequence has been provided.

Am I looking in the right place?

Any help or at least direction on how I can find the keeper of their records would really help.

You can contact the bankruptcy court and get the name of their attorney who should have all records or know how to access them.

State courts won’t have much; bankruptcies are federal. A local, reputable private investigator should have access to databases that, for about an hour’s work or less should be able to give you the basics as to what court it was filed in, case number, filing date, disposition, etc.

That lists all of the case info, including parties and attorneys, for cases in Federal court. They charge like $.08 cents a page downloaded on your computer.

Maine Bankruptcy Courts

Two locations: Bangor and Portland.

Call either location and speak with the Clerk’s office. They should be able to give you the case number (it may be a pending case, and not much filed yet. The company’s website is still active). Copies of the pleadings may be available directly from the clerk, or an on-site photocopy contractor.

I just did a Pacer search in all bankruptcy courts and there were NO hits on a company called "True North Home Systems."

Then I did a search on just "True North" and here are the hits:
