When Wilson is judged by the house and admonished for insulting the president of the United States on the floor of the house, I wish Wilson would raise the defense that Barack Obama is not constitutionally the president of the United States and therefore he cannot be guilty of insulting him.
If Wilson gets a chance to defend himself, he might possibly start that debate. I wonder if he would have the eggs?

Then, it's all good, right? The Second, the Fourth, the 9th, and especially the 10th Amendments don't count, but the 1st does, right?

What ever happened to him? The last time he wrote anything that was worth reading, IMHO, was 13 years ago (his book Addicted to Mediocracy.) He made some awful films after that, and then started writing again. He’s not only “off the reservation”, he’s changed “tribes.”

They knew that democracies cannot last. At that is what we have become. We are no longer a Republic, we are a socialist democracy, quickly heading towards a communist state. This is the beginning of the end of a great experiment in Constitutional Republicanism. We will see it in the next (5) years. Mark these words.
While I'm encouraged to see so many out on the streets lately, I firmly believe it will be of no worth. DC politicians are firmly entrenched with their special interest groups (the orgs who supply the money for their re-elections).
Most incumbents will be re-elected in 2010. Locals will not vote out their politicians that bring home the goodies. I hope I'm wrong and hope that this Tea Party movement will continue, but I have little hope that it will influence our corrupt self-serving politicians in a positive manner.
Someone mentioned that all politics are local. While that used to be correct, I don't believe that to be the case anymore. I've watched my own conservative politicians in my conservative enclave (Orange County, Ca) starting to lean socialist, just to get re-elected. You're wrong, Bob J. Politics at every level is now corrupt.
Solutions:
Term Limits;
Reduced Congressional Sessions;
Re-assert the original INTENT of the Commerce Clause;
Sunset all legislation, with exception of Defense. One of the few enumerated powers of the Fedgov;
All legislation to pass Constitutional INTENT via a Constitutionally mandated body;
All Executive Orders be reviewed by the Legislative and Judicial Branches. If found to be in violation of the enumerated powers as designated in the Constitution - null and voided;
The 9th and 10th Amendments regarding State sovereignty to be re-inforced. If it takes States to nullify Fedgov directives and mandates, so be it. Let the States stand on their own.
State Governors to nullify Fedgov control over National Guard; They have a legitimate Fedgov military. Think what the Governors of a given State could do with their own National Guard.
All tax increases need a super-majority. Surprisingly, California has such a law.
Congressional Budget Office (CBO) have a public relations office to inform the People of their determinations on a weekly basis. A law.
Supreme Court justices have a limited tenure. Yes, it COULD be detrimental, but do really need lifetime appointees?
Repeal countless laws, regulations, and restrictions that have essentially stopped or curtailed us from being the greatest nation the World has ever seen.
Build our military might once again. Stop obambi's decimation of our military. Change our Rules Of Engagement (ROE) and give our Marines and Army grunts the authorization to kill anyone they deem fit should be deaded. And give the CIA more resources.
Tell the UN to eat sh*t.
Tell North Korea if you fire one more missle, we will shoot it out of the sky.
Tell Tehran, if you continue on you quest for nuclear weapons, the USA and Israel will turn you into glass!
