Just can't be rushed to make a decision on Afghanistan. Hell, take six months to pick a dog. Hell, even try to ram a massive unread unfinished healthcare bill through in a couple weeks before August recess and get pissed it didn't happen, but hey, that's not a tough decision there, right Barack?
While you're taking long vacations and then a vacation from your vacation because Teddy's funeral wore you out, after spending literally every week on tv in one form or another, playing hoops or golf, or popping out for ice cream or the organic market or hell burgers,
while all this is going on the troops in Afghanistan wait on what the hell you're going to do there. Don't let the fact things are going to crap quickly and you look indecisive and even though you've had so many meetings and people telling you what they need, you somehow feel people are 'rushing you'. Well we wouldn't want to make a hasty decision now would we.
I think it's a little past the point to be able to call any decision you make on Afghanistan, "hasty".

Please stop by the FReepathon thread and give it a bump. If you haven’t donated yet, please give it some thought.
Thank you!
The loon has never met a decision he could make - alone - without the help of his never-have-earned-an-honest-dollar associates.
(Hey “Dr” Ayers, with your toy degree, you listenin’?
Pathetic-in-Chief
It is the job of the president as commander-in-chief ,in a time of war to make sound, practical and timely decisions regarding the conduct of said war and that includes troop levels. I’m not a constitutional lawyer but it would seem to me if this putz is refusing to do this for whatever reason, isn’t that an impeachable offense?
Obama says don’t rush me on Afghanistan. Yet he wants to rush through his health care legislation.
NINE months & he still hasn’t found a church to attend on Sundays!!!
Don’t Cry For Me Afghanistan.
(The truth is I never left you.)
Like I said this rat face nitwit won the lottery. One big vacation like a child with a new toy.
The suit can’t do anything until his health care bill has
been rammed down our throats. Otherwise the left will eviscerate him for abandoning their goals and the health bill
will die.
He actually has somewhat found a pastor. He’s a chaplain at Camp David and Obama’s apparently caught his sermons more than anyone else since being in the White House.
Gray area. It’s a subjective call, because ‘still thinking about it’ is still a valid answer, for any president. Whether or not we believe he’s milking that or not.
And I want to be clear here too. I don’t think presidents playing golf in wartime, or having vacations, or whatever, are bad because all of a sudden Obama is president. That’s not what it is, we know Bush played golf, Cheney went hunting, etc.
What we are pointing out is that when tough decisions needed to be made, Bush got his generals and advisors together, kicked the pig around then, made a decision, and let the generals execute the plans. He didn’t sit there and act like he didn’t want to make decisions because of the political ramifications, and we know it because Bush got cricufied by the liberals and media for making tough decisions (the surge? the one libs and media said would never work?) and then letting the military do their job.
It’s about DECISIVENESS versus INDECISIVENESS. There is a perception that Obama is INDECISIVE, does NOT WANT to make these decisions. And so all the diversions he partakes in, the vacations, the fun events, the late night shows, the golfing and hoops breaks, etc - these are not above criticism as he appears to keep ducking decisions he doesn’t want to make, and the problem is these delays are getting a lot more American servicemen killed. That’s why it’s different.
And it’s not like he can’t make what he believes are tough or unpopular decisions quickly. He wanted healthcare done before the August recess. Cash for clunkers. TARP. All crap rammed through fast, we didn’t even have time to read it it was so important to do. Afghanistan? Apparently not as important.
Well I can see what you mean Secret Agent Man but as I see C-in-C or grunt in the field, when the rounds are coming in and troops are dying ‘’still deciding’’ is no answer and not an option. Its time to put more boots on the ground and start sending rounds down range. If this punk has no intention of doing this than perhaps its time to get out of Afganistan but given the history of the last eight years THATS not an option. But back to the main point more troops means fire superiority and that, literally, is what wins the the day in a gunfight. As my former Marine Corps 1st. Lieutenant brother(5th. Marines,3rd.Batt.) said of this point of view,( fire superiority) “Always does””.
I think you misunderstood me.
I am saying every president has to have SOME time to confer with his military leaders and his cabinet and staff people, and from all of that, come to a decision.
I am saying he still is using that line as a reason for no decision yet.
I am saying for Obama, I think his time is up for using that. He’s had more than enough time to figure out what to do.
