Convert any unit to another (Book Mark)
TOPICS: Education; Reference; UFO's
KEYWORDS: conversion; measure; metrics
Can't tell you how many times I've searched and worked conversion sites. Here is a one stop shop.

I can bet that it doesn’t have the conversion of MpH to furlongs per fortnight.
Why, you ask would anybody need to convert MpH to FpF?
When working the weather forecast desk, people would ask me the wind speed and direction. I would ask “what units do you want the wind speed in?” Occasionally, somebody would get mad, interpreting my question as a smart ass one. So if they gave me flack over my question, I WOULD become the smart ass and give them the wind speed in FpF.

I like this one. It's a very small download and sits on your desktop.
Convert for Windows (also works on Linux/UNIX/anything that runs Wine 1)

As you can see from the demonstration animation (in prev post) Convert does have furlongs. I guess you’ll have to calculate the fortnights yourself. lol

That may be more "comprehensive" and I've used it for years, but...
I now prefer the link above. Tested and saved. It is intuitive, more directly accessible and fast.
I really like it.

Can anyone here modify this one to show "Furlongs per Fortnight?" under speed?
Wasn't this a Monty Python innovation?

LOL I don’t know about the Monty Python connection but the author of Convert might be able to update his software to compute furlongs per fortnight. I checked mine to see if it was there under “speed” but it’s not. If you use the Google link upthread you’ll find it is a legitimate measure of speed. Who knew?
