It happens to me occasionally. Just hit "apply corrections" then “spell” again. Works every time.

Yeah, but I have been on Vista for a while w/o problems. Maybe they patched a bug? :D)

re: Like me now?

Yes, I've gotten really lazy in my old age.

My other complaint with the spell checker is that it doesn't recognize Palin! I don't care about it not knowing some proper names, but that's the most proper name in all the world!

With the exception of thread posters not knowing it exists, I would have to say no..........

Also, I believe it is based upon which server you are one. there are very slight differences in the page format from one to another.

Yes, the same thing has been happening to me on a sporatic bassis. It started about a month or so ago and it seems to be happening less often. I haven't a clue as to why it does it but I hit the browser back button and then "spell check" again and nine times out of ten it works as it should. It started about the time I upgraded my FireFox browser to 3.5.5, of course that may very well be coincidence.

Regards,
GtG

Firefox, Orca, or Sea Monkey. Why anyone would use IE as their main browser after using these I do not know.

Happens to me once in a while. Probably a database access problem, IMO.
