Did Glenn Beck Get a Phone Call From the White House?

My wife was listening to Glenn Beck’s radio program, this morning. She informs me that Glenn Beck says that the White House called his “red phone” yesterday at the end of his FOX News TV show.

Evidently, the White House was upset that Glenn Beck interviewed Michael Goldfarb, author of the Offutt AFB closure threat report. In the interview, Goldfarb stood by his report. Glenn Beck, prefacing the story as a rumor, also stated that he confirmed this story with three sources. But, the White House vociferously denies the story.

Rush, much as I love the man, did not bring down ACORN. Beck did. Man’s taken a sledgehammer to the foundation of the GOTV effort in the Democrat party.

He’s had a good year, and he entertains as he educates, very much like Rush.

How is that poisoning the well? If one guy can pick up a heavy weight and another can’t, is it poisoning the well to say that the first guy is stronger? If this someone is going to say Beck is great and I blow, why can’t I point out where I have eclipsed him? Oh, and I also never made fun of a woman’s miscarriage on public airwaves, something else Beck has done.

I don't know you equally well. Today is the first day I've ever heard of you, and then only by a few replies on this forum.

I've listened to Beck on and off since 2005 and have additionally known him personally through the radio/TV business from which I retired in early 2008.

I was planning to just read through this thread without really engaging today, but this statement begs an important question of which I would respectfully ask your response...

Can you please identify just one example (several would be better if possible) of any “information” that Beck has provided to his audience since he started at Fox News TV that was a “problem” and that we should not consider viable because it was either:

(1) inaccurate, or
(2) misrepresented, or
(3) incorrect, or
(4) misstated, or
(5) not honest or deceitful, or
(6) misquoted, or
(7) illegitimate

I would simply like to be alerted to or notified of such “problem” information, because if getting information from Beck is a “problem” as you explain, then we should know about it so that we can adjust our opinion accordingly.

More than hugh! Offutt Air Force Base is home of the U.S. Strategic Command Command Center. This is the secure facility that President Bush was flown to during the 9/11 attacks. The heart of our nations air command and control. Closing this base would leave us vulnerable to a nuclear decapitation attack.

Yeah, “minor” was a poor choice of words. What I meant to imply was that the threat of closing Offutt is but a small step on the path to the destruction of America by Obama. Don’t get me wrong, the threat of closing Offutt in order to garner a health care deform vote is very important. But, every other day, Glenn Beck exposes even more MAJOR plots and activities by Obama and his commie-buddies. Yet, if the report given by my wife is accurate, this is the one the White House chose to refute?

Anyway, you are right. “Minor” was a poor choice of words.

Actually Glenn Beck is a baptized Catholic. He may currently be a Mormon, but he will always be a baptized Catholic. He can come back to the church at any time by sitting down with a priest and getting his questions and concerns answered.

If Beck got a call from "the White House" I want a name, I want corroboration from the person that made the call or I want a phone record.

Who are you to demand that information? I don't really think he or anyone else cares what you want. What makes you think that someone would actually give you the phone records?
