I doubt that this had much of anything to do with the fact that the victim was an “undocumented immigrant,” and more to do with thuggish wolf-pack behavior of some arrogant kids finding somebody weak to pick on. They may have thought he was homeless or a bum, and therefore easy pickings.

I think it is the press that is trying to make it sound like an ethnic incident.

We had a bunch of high school athletes from “good” homes here in Florida who were going around beating and even setting fire to homeless guys in the park. I’m not fond of bums myself, but they don’t deserve to be beaten to death.

There were people (liberals) who actually rushed forward and defended the kids because they were “good kids” (meaning, from well-off homes) who “just made the mistake” of getting their kicks by tormenting and killing marginal people.

He was punk dating a 15yo girl who may or may not have been the mother of his kids.

The story “on the ground” is that these high school jocks were drinking, Ramirez had 3 kids by a local, and was also involved with the sister of the mother of his children. Not sure if the latter had anything to do with it; it very well could.

My guess is that it did have something to do with ethnicity. PA has had a large influx of illegals in the past few years, probably due to the fact that PA’s welfare benefits are so “generous”.
