Let's compare media reactions

TOPICS: Reference
KEYWORDS: mediabias; nationalsecurity; obamalegacy
Remember after 9-11, when President Bush wanted to come back to Washington DC despite what his generals were telling him? Remember the media outrage, that we have not heard from our President, where was he, why the long silence........etc.

I just heard Chuck Todd on (figures, MSNBC) covering up for Obama and saying that Obama was being "cautious" and not giving info to the "propoganda" machine.

Is it any wonder why everyone thinks the media is a joke?

Yes Virginia, there is a liberal media.

It doesn’t matter what presidents do. They will always do it wrong.(According to the media)

I have been wondering the same thing- standards are much different for Obama then Bush. Also how come you don't hear the media or Obama speak about Fort Hood & that shooter a muslam. I guess Obama gets away with every thing so far- to everything is a season...

Remember the media outrage, that we have not heard from our President, where was he, why the long silence........etc.

Peter Jennings is no longer breathing or spewing antiAmerican propaganda.

"I think most of you know that the President has been on something of a strange journey, today.... ABC’s Ann Compton was with him all day and told, talked all day about the struggle between the security and the political apparatus whether the President would get back to Washington. Well, the President is back in Washington now and there has been no time in his presidency, and there may never be a time like this again, when it has been so important what he says to the country because I think we all know at moments like this the country looks to the President of the United States for understanding, for, for knitting the country together. And some Presidents do it brilliantly and some do not." - Canadian citizen Peter Jennings on 9/11/2001.

Obama pretended that the Fort Hood massacre was not an act of terrorism (and he even was brazen enough to give some shout outs on mic before getting to the matter at hand).

He at least is owning up that THIS is an act of international terrorism directed at the United States (and specifically targeting the Christian holiday of Christmas).

Good grief...we are comparing 9/11 with this? Are you serious???? That is seriously comparing apples with oranges. This is embarrassing.

If there had been 3 other passengers on 3 other planes, what then?

Airline security was supposed to tighten up after the 9-11 attacks.

The terrorist was already on a no fly list and tripped several other red flags (like paying cash for an expensive seat).

FUMBLE

On 9-10-2001 I’ll bet a number of FReepers and moreso in the media would’ve thought it “extreme” of the passengers to kill the hijackers in an attempt to take over the plane or to deliberately crash a plane that hijackers said held a bomb.

Good Grief.

Are you seriously saying that this was NOT an attempted terrorist attack to bring down an airliner with 250+ people on board.?

You need to go post on DU or Think Progress.
