I remember the ‘child molester’ witch hunts of the 80’s. The Amirault case and another high profile case in Wenatchee Washington were among the most high profile ones, both of which were frame-ups.....

...and don't forget the McMartin one in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The kids had stories of underground tunnels... and after the house was sold, it was razed and folks actually dug with a backhoe to find the tunnels...

I had forgotten about the McMartin case, but yes you’re right...another frame-up. We haven’t evolved that much since Salem have we? What was particularly barbaric about the Amirault case was the way the oldest son was kept in jail even when it became common knowledge that the whole thing was a hoax. The fact that no politicians, or their henchmen went to prison for those atrocities speaks volumes about our society. Like I said, it was a detestable time. I remember it with more than a little bitterness.
