I was over at my parents yesterday for our traditional New Year’s meal of black-eyed peas, ribs and sauerkraut when a friend said “You know, if zero had any sense, he’d have visited Rush in the hospital”.....my dad replied that he wasn’t that smart and I said “he didn’t have Axlerod there to tell him to do it....besides, he couldn’t take a teleprompter into the hospital room”....later, went to some friends for a few drinks, and several folks there also brought up the point about zero not being smart enough to score some political pr points and visit Rush. I think it’s been noticed by a lot of folks...maybe only us VRW crazies but stilll.....just saying!
Ronald Reagan used to meet with Tip O’Neil all the time and had only good things to say publicly about him. Meanwhile O’Neil rarely missed an opportunity to blast Reagan. Guess who came out looking good as a result and who ended up giving an impression of pettiness?
