BEYONCE performed for an hour on New Year's Eve at a party thrown by Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi's son, Hannibal, who has a long record of violence against women.
The multiple Grammy award-winning star, 28, performed five songs at the Nikki Beach club on the Caribbean island of St. Barts, it has been revealed.
The crowd included her husband Jay-Z, Usher, Microsoft founder Paul Allen and Lindsay Lohan.
The New York Post could not confirm how much Beyonce was paid for the gig, but last year, singer Mariah Carey reportedly pocketed $1m for performing at Nikki Beach.
Some vacationers on the island were aghast. London-based disc jockey Sam Young tweeted, "Jigga (Jay-Z), Beyonce & Usher were @ Nikki Beach performing for Gadaffi family, WTF?"
ust a week earlier, on Christmas Day, Hannibal, 33 - also known as Moutassim - allegedly attacked his wife, Aline Skaf, in his suite at Claridge's hotel in London.
Three of his security staff were arrested for obstructing police. Skaf was reportedly hospitalised with a broken nose while Hannibal was whisked away in a diplomatic car.
In July 2008, he and his then-pregnant wife were arrested on charges of beating their servants in a Geneva hotel. They denied the charges, which were dropped after the servants received compensation.

Well, I think Beyonce could take him in a fair fight. She’s a big, sturdy girl!
He’s probably one of those Pu$$ies that can dish it out but can’t take it. If somebody did to him what he does to women he’d cry like a baby.
