There are conservatives, including some of us here on Free Republic, that consider the song "We don't get fooled again!" to have a conservative theme.
The Who saved that for their final performance last night. Did anyone else note the extraordinary amount of cheering from the audience the first time they sang the refrain? Did you also catch Daltry's final line:
"DON'T YOU GET FOOLED AGAIN!!!" ?
I don’t know, It was hard to tell with my TV in Mute mode. LOL
Their singing was like nails on a blackboard.
What a debacle THAT was.
At least The Who is relevant, because of CSI.
I didn’t notice his final line (that’s good though!), but the performance was great. Right out of my era, it’s unbelievable they were able to put on a show for that duration of time, without looking all cra**ed out.
I watched about 3 minutes and went off to play with a toddler instead. I never liked The Who to begin with — and this was just torture.
Then again, the cheers could have been more of a commentary on The Who’s several dozen retirements.
GREATEST
ROCK
BAND
EVER
The Who (what remains) really showed their age, but those old geezers rocked HARD.
It looked like Daltry was about to pass out after the harmonica solo ;)
They sounded better than I expected. I saw them live in 1980. They were pretty good back in the day.
I think one will hear what one wants to hear.
Next Super Bowl , I hope the have The Four Seasons do the half-time show.
“Sherry, Sherry Baby”
“Working My Way Back to You Babe”
“Big Girls Don’t Cry”
Do you folks agree?
Michael Moore is a bully, says Who guitarist (from 2004):

I noticed that too. It was also kind of painful to hear much vocal range Daltry has lost. Nonetheless, it was a better show than, say, Brittany Spears or some gangsta rap show.
Agree with the 1st 4 words...I thought the performance was bad but I hate medleys of songs. Still with some of their great songs clocking in around 7-8 minutes long it would be hard to go out and play two songs.
I don’t know about getting fooled again, but I thought their performance was lame. It was mostly pre-recorded and was not worthy of the group. What are there, two members left?
He ended the first farewell tour performance concert that I saw with that expression. They cheered Baba O’Reilly pretty hard too.
Been better if he ripped up a picture of Obama, akin to Sinead O’Connor.
It was the best Superbowl halftime show EVER.
But I didn’t see it as anything political, just the fans enjoying a really good show.
I’ve never liked The Who either, but they were really good last night. Great show. I think I much prefer The Who over any silly hip hop. Only the dinosaurs know how to rock.
I think the who sucked. Why can they get an American band for an American Institution, the Super Bowl?
Well, I'll agree that you're getting closer to my generation and music genre.
As for The Who, Who Dat?
