I just hit a massive bump on 495 and my car CD stopped working. Won't play. Won't even eject. Do any of my fellow Freepers know what the problem might be? Thanks.
Ya.
Time to turn on the radio.
Go to Best Buy, spend a few bucks, win.
check the fuse?
Do you mean they can fix it, or I need to buy a new car CD player? if it’s the latter, I haven’t the slightest idea how to install one.
I’ll give it a try. Thanks.
backwards.
Is it OEM or after market?
Are you sure you have a CD in there?
Reminds me of what my flight instructor told me,,,, if your airplane quits flying,, whatever you did last..... undo it!
Are you driving a Toyota?
They might fix it, you may need a new one, they can usually install it.
Check the fuses. If that doesn’t help there’s probably a poor wiring connection within the dash, good luck trying to get at it on your own in anything built in the last ten years, though. Off to the dealership you go.
Can you post a picture of it?
OEM in a 2002 Thunderbird sports model.
LOL!
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to post pics.
Will the CD eject? If so, does the unit read the CD and there’s just no sound?
Well, if I’d re-read the OP, lol. Never mind.
It has six CDs stacked in it, and it won’t eject or play any of them. The number of the CD blinks for a few seconds, then it says Error and the sound reverts back to the radio.
