Why was a founding member of the FreeRepublic LLC 501(c) board banned by a modmin/admin who is no more than a volunteer sitting at home on a ego trip?

How many thousands of archive pages were just fractured due to this foolishness?

Not only should a full explanation be given to the public, the admin who approved this measure needs to be publicly named, and publicly defend the position.

THis is the most abject failure of the modmin system that John Robinson devised in the history of FR since the rebuild in 1999.

If the admin powered individual was anyone other than current or former formal members of the LLC, the admin must be removed from the admin level and any admins who want to defend that admin should also make themselves publicly known and defend their position.

This banning is an indictment on the failure of the admins of this website. That is putting it politely.

Our high tech security is the best of the best.

Sure it is.

The last time I ordered pizza for you housewives the driver was
hung up at three checkpoints and was made to watch some stupid
video made by TSA and then (I heard) he was strip searched.

When y'all finally got the pizza, it was cold and I wound up suspended from FR for a week.

During the dang election returns no less. Thanks loads.

The FR Complex is NOT set up for pizza delivery.

Oh dear Goawd, don’t tell me he became a Romney supporter?

I believe he was a McCain supporter long before McCain won the primary and people had to hold their nose.

Yep, but can we have a virtual "kill" button too?

Not really kill in the real life version...but you know..just for play?

Like maybe a Rahm-a-kill button?

Have you forgotten to poster tuco-bad?

I'm ashamed to admit that I had until your post. Tuco-bad was a piece of work. Actually, a piece of "something else" might be more descriptive.

Top floor. Where else?

I always heard that the mods lived a kind of movie star life, but I guess they deserve it.

You're right humblegunner. I do recall that regrettable incident. Cold pizza is the worst. A new security system was installed a short time later.

The driver should be ready to leave the pizza place by now. Go ahead and phone them to make sure, The Viking Kitties will need to be locked up, plus a little time is required to arange for someone to escort the delivery guy in.

2010 mission statement
FR is a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-gun, pro-Liberty, pro-Constitution, pro-America conservative site.

1998 mission statement.
Free Republic is an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

The emphasis on Christianity as the driving force for conservatism was never thought of here in 1998.

William F. Buckley, Barry Goldwater and Russell Kirk were the standard bearers of conservatism...not the KJV.

Since the 2003 a large number of Fundamental Christians have joined the site and many of them have trashed traditional conservatives like Bob Barr, W.F. Buckley and Barry Goldwater and most of these newbies don't know the difference between Russell Kirk and Kirt Russell. This was a political forum until it became a religious chat room with little debate about the principals of conservatism and its roots in the enlightenment. Free Republic has fragmented as a political force imo. Social Conservatism as seen through many Christian eyes is as much about big government furthering their causes as any socialists ideas for big government to do the same for theirs.

Libertarians who were once given an equal platform to explain their political beliefs were once a large contingent here...and an activist one at that. Those here who supported Ron Paul (whom you spoke favorably of in years past) are demonized by the mass of posters here with join up dates post 2003 onward. What happened to change the focus of Free Republic from the political to the religious?

And Jim...the attack dogs of the religious right alienate people of every political persuasion. No one likes moral busybodies.

Pizza Delivery! Recommended by working stiffs across the nation. We health care nuts are not always a pain. If you eat pizza with a salad it has all the main food groups. On our units, we always let everyone know when the pizza is delivered by announcing over the loud speaker that 'The Eagle Has Landed'.

Deluxe! Are they accepting job applications?
