The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is no longer seeking a sample of DNA from Ben Roethlisberger, his attorney said this evening.
A 20-year-old Georgia college student has accused the Steelers quarterback of sexually assaulting her in a Milledgeville, Ga. club in the early morning hours of March 5. The woman was taken to a local hospital and examined that morning.
Milledgeville police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations had requested a DNA sample from Mr. Roethlisberger. He was was in Georgia and available for a sample to be taken, Mr. Garland said.

Yeah ... he probably patted her on the butt and said you’re hot ... at that point dollar signs rang up in her eyes like cherries in a casino slot machine. You don’t need DNA for that, it’s total fabrication on the part of the so called victim ... nothing else. By the way I’m a Bengal fan, but I know extortion when I see it ... this is BS.
I agree with you whole-heartedly, but I still have a huge problem with a man of Dan’s supposed stature having to hang out with the young chippies instead of with ladies and gentlemen of his own caliber. And this is not strike one, it is strike two. His going out on his Harley without a helmet AGAINST Steelers Rules, is a pretty strong indication to me that other than his ability to handle a football, ol’ Dan is not the sharpest knife in the drawer; or maybe he just doesn’t give a crap. In either case Goodell and Rooney need to have a “come to Jesus” talk with ol’ Dan. IMHO
he's probably had his fancy lawyers set up a deal to pay the 20 yro girl off....
then he can go back playing on Sundays being your big HERO.....more like a zero....
maybe they don't need his dna because "all" he did was put his grubby hands all over her and they have it all on video tape.....who needs dna...
It appears that Roethlisberger is not such a great guy, but the mere presence of his DNA means next to nothing unless he denied he was ever in the presence of the woman.
Roethlisberger will never submit to an interview with law enforcement. There is no way it could help him and that is reason enough to say nothing.
