Oh, wasn’t Jackie just beautiful? And dignified. I don’t think she ever did ANYTHING to embarrass America, in words, clothes, or deeds! What a sad commentary on today’s WH. :-(I remember Jackie going to church barefoot and that was simply not done in the sixties. At my tender age I was shocked.

I don't recall it, but I'm sure that if it happened, my mom was outraged.

well i hate to tell ya....i lived in ft lauderdale as a teen in the 60’s and we DID go all around barefoot then. Maybe Jackie was at Hyannis Port and had just gotten out of the ocean? Hard to imagine that lady going barefoot anywhere however.
