TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad escaped an attack on his convoy unharmed on Wednesday, a source in the president's office told Reuters.
Authorities arrested one person in the aftermath, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. Some people were wounded, the source said.
Al Arabiya television reported that an attacker had thrown an explosive at Ahmadinejad's convoy before being detained. The bomb hit a car transporting journalists and presidential staff, the
