Good for them. I remember when this was getting started here on FR. I didn’t really understand Digg or what they were trying to do. Looks like they were wildly sucessful. They should have called themselves “Diggolist”.

While the Digg userbase skews young, progressive, and irreligious, the DPs [Digg Patriots] strove to promote young earth creationism, global warming denial, and a variety of virulent conspiracy theories involving the Obama Administration. In truth, Digg Patriots was a hotbed for the most dissident of the Tea Party crowd, eagerly spreading the most baseless and inaccurate conservative memes and peppering their chosen stories with empty one-liners before forcing it to the front page.Who the heck is Digg? And how can they have an open site and then complain that some of the people posting there do not belong to their preferred "user base"? Does anyone know if they have a preferred type of poster declaimed on their front page, as FR does?

Seems to me that I read a study recently that had far left libs at only 20% of the population. That means there's more conservatives than liberals. Leave it to the lefties to cry that the MAJORITY cheats because there's more of us.
Btw, I'm not on digg. Never have been. Don't care who they are or think they are.

I never got the Digg Patriots memo. Would someone please freepmail it to me?
To: Lucky9teen
Apparently, lots of people have more time and patience on their hands than I do. I can’t imagine getting multiple identities so I can go vote in polls.
I doubt that most people would....freeper or not.
Therefore, this article is probably just propaganda.

I was a radical leftist back in my hippie days. I guess I'm a radical of a different sort now that I'm older and wiser.

These guys flatter themselves. FReeping was going on a decade before this, fully nine years of it before they opened their little popularity-contest site. If they don’t think the hive mind on the Left does it they aren’t paying attention to their own numbers.

“And when they find themselves outnumbered, freepers have no trouble simply cheating, changing their IP addresses and using automated scripts to vote thousands of times.”
Someone here knows how to do that? Why didn’t they tell me?! ;-)
