I just love women who blame men for all their problems!

Don’t you go though life with a frown on your face?

Let me tell you a secret Cherry...

It takes a Man and a Woman to make a baby.

It takes a careless man without a condom (or vasectomy) and a careless woman without birth control to make a baby.

It takes both to make a baby.

Now who do you want to blame?

How does the state know who the father of an illegit baby is? Court ordered paternity tests? What about the so-called “right to privacy”? Men don’t have the right to privacy? What gives the state the right to order one or many men to take paternity tests on behalf of an unwed mother? What contract does she have with any man for the state to enforce and where does she get the right and standing to sue????

I love how these liberals claim to believe in the rights of privacy and the rights of the innocent, etc-—but then a Maury Povich will do a show about how 12 males are forced illegally by the state to take paternity tests because some unwed mother wants child support from the father for the baby she decided to keep without the father’s choice....only one of the men is father, but all have to submit...oh, sorry for your trouble...but you slept with her too? When did THAT become the business of the state????

How does the state force somebody to “pay” anything when he never was found guilty in either criminal or civil court...?

We’ve heard of the crime “driving while black”.....well, what about “copulating while male” though not illegal, can subject a man to liability and punishment......

Sure, it takes two to tango...but it’s NOT a legal crime to tango and only the woman gets the choice.....

she needs to take responsibility for her choice and the state needs to mind its own business and stop illegally fining men and invading their privacy when no contract existed to breech....

You can’t forfeit custody unless the woman wants and agrees to sole custody and to absolve you....million of men would be delighted for the right to forfeit custody and child support over one drunken night with some female they barely know and don’t want a baby with.....again...she could give the baby up for adoption, have an abortion or raise the baby by herself or with her family.....

The State doesm’t know who the father is without illegally invading the man’s privacy.......

Even if you’re married, you don’t know if you’re the father....

men actually have all the control....

You are so very wrong....short of rape the woman has all the control. She knows well ahead where things might lead and will do well to stay clear of places where that act could even begin. But lets's assume she doesn't...even then at any point in the event she can say no....it is always up to her how far she will go and every man knows this fully well. Furthermore no "kid" should be having sex unless they are prepared to raise a child...doctor a veneral disease...and all the other emotional side affects from engaging in a sexual encounter. Any woman or girl that thinks sex just happens...is beyond an idiot...both parties know fully well at various points where things are headed...it doesn't just happen.

“men actually have all the control....they don’t have to have sex with females, and they sure don’t have to do it without a condomn....”

Not true. Men can be forced to pay child support even if they are not the father of the child and if they never had relations with the woman.

Men are not allowed to opt out of fatherhood (i.e. be a walking wallet). However, women are allowed to opt out of motherhood. A mom can give the child up for adoption. She can even have an abortion (which I don’t agree on moral grounds, but everything revolves around the woman’s pleasantness, even life of unborn children).

I, myself, keep away from females because of the hideous anti-male laws. The result is young men are no longer getting married. Today among youth, ‘marriage’ is the girl tricking the guy to get her pregnant. Then she will be able to siphon money from him.

The control ultimately is up to the woman. Sure, Levi is an idiot, but if he stayed away, Bristol would have been impregnated by someone else. I guarantee you there was probably a nice guy or two who did, indeed, stay away from the governor’s daughter.

Since it is the young women who are in demand (and not the men), the issue of control rests on the woman. The reason why Bristol got impregnated by Levi, who is an idiot, is because smart men did what you said and stayed away from Bristol.

Great post, post of the month imho. very well stated. Also a great about page C. Good to see some on FR still have a bit of old fashioned ideals. To many here are darn 40 yo. kids who do not have a clue on how things go out in the real world. “is beyond an idiot”?.... great put down!!....well done!! It will go right over the heads of the young’ns but at least ya threw it out there, maybe it will ring one.

You know of course that this is a problem with your experience and rightfully so...but it does mean that you are a bit warped in you view. Not that you are wrong, but a bit warped as many are these days. Now, the laws have caused this problem, no doubt. The question remains though, are you going to go through life thinking the worst of women?

There are some nice women out there - although you have to go to church to find them. Don’t give up though...

Yea, I am a pessimistic bastard for those who are questioning my advice...

And we expect the sperm donor to honor any part of this agreement?

Not a chance.

I believe you are missing two points for the sake of the child:

1) the right to life, of course, and
2) that the state provided or mandated resources are for the child, not the mother,

and two other points:

1) fathers often become deadbeat dads as a means of striking back at the mother—which overcomes their interest in the child, and
2) if fathers don’t support the child it often falls on taxpayers, via the state, to do so.

Misunderstanding - I read your posts as if he had to pay $72,000 a year for support. Didn’t know he worked in the oil field or worked at all; other than a (hollywood/left) pawn.

I wonder if that knife cuts both ways. . . can a mother forfeit custody, and so be rid of any obligations?

Certainly a child can be given up for adoption. I suppose that requires that both parents give up custody.

As for desiring to forfeit custody and child support over a drunken night with a female you barely know. . . you don’t have my sympathy there. A man/woman who engage like that are making a person who needs a mom, a dad, a family, and lots of provision. It is hardly that little person’s fault. So really, you should avoid sex with any woman who is not likely to make a good wife and mother.

The child is supposed to go fatherless and poor because you got drunk and used your beer glasses? That is cruel.

As for being married, I suppose as the legal father of a child you could take that child to a doctor and ask for a DNA test. How could they refuse you? I also see mail-in DNA tests advertised. All you need, apparently, is a strand of hair, so you could do it discreetly.
