Posted on 08/13/2010 10:28:28 PM PDT by Justaham

TMZ has learned ... Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have reached a settlement in their custody case.

Under the deal, filed with an Alaska Superior Court, Bristol will get primary physical custody of Tripp. Levi will have visitation, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Saturdays and 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Levi has to pay Bristol child support. The amount isn't stated, but the agreement says the calculation is based on earnings of $72,000 a year.

And get this ... Under the agreement filed with the court, the parties agree not to "speak badly about the other parent in front of the child ... or allow anyone else to speak badly about the other parent or members of their family in front of the child."

And it goes on ... "The parties agree that they shall not allow the child to visit with, or interact with, any family member who publicly ... or in front of the child, criticizes the other parent or the other parent's family."

Wow! Those stipulations will wreck havoc on the idiot’s career in Hollywood.

That’s what he earns...not pays.

I might seem radical here....but I really believe that an unwed mother deserves no help from the state...either welfare or child support.....it’s a private matter.....and the state has no right to force fatherhood on a father......and it’s called equal reproductive rights....

There’s rarely such thing as a deadbeat dad...only bad laws and judges......

child support in a no fault divorce is bad enough...but court orders with not even a marriage contract to enforce is even WORSE!!!

The mother gets complete custody and the father gets no rights at all unless the women and man agree to something themselves...

Marriage is a contract, and sans contract—whence comes the “right” of the female to sue for child support? Whence comes her standing to sue....she chose to have and keep the baby and the man had no choice......

So it’s HER responsibility and the government should stay OUT of it.....

I didn’t even see that my statement could be taken any other way than as referring to his income. I’ll try to be more clear next time. He presumably had a good job in the oil field but quit. Now he wants to be mayor of Wasilla? Why would anyone vote for him?

It sounds like there is basically a gag order on any faamily members who wish to see the child.

I actually support the stipulation about speaking badly publicly about one another. That tears kids up. The Court has an interest in protecting the child.

he can’t be mayor of wasilla....he’s not even of age legally to file papers and he doesn’t live there **it was a stunt to promote a reality show promotion that is now falling apart** The $72,000 is based off of all of the libs paying levi money just to be in the media ...whether playgirl, tv ads...etc.

“and the state has no right to force fatherhood on a father”

I am not sure I understand. Once you impregnate a woman, you are a father, no? It is not forced upon you.

The state might only enforce that you keep up on your financial responsibilities as a father. Children need provision. If you don’t want to provide, you can forfeit custody, is that not correct?

**********************

Her right comes from all the “baby you’re the one!” lines that comes out of the man’s mouth before the act.

Maybe this recent crap was just what they needed to make peace and settle things. If that’s so, then it was worth it, IMO.

Divorce sux, fo sho.

Err, oops...’child custody settlements’ stink even worse though!

Divorce, child custody, DV..AND...VD...it’s all bad for the kids or at least my friend who works in CPS always says so! I’ll take his word on that!=)

he was having sex with a 17 yro and he didn't want to use a condomn, apparently...

men actually have all the control....they don't have to have sex with females, and they sure don't have to do it without a condomn....

it doesn't matter if you have teenagers fooling around and not married...what matters is a baby is born...a baby has rights to food, clothing , shelter....

and personally, Bristol should have just not included Levi at all in Tripps life....he's pretty much a low life who's bad mouthed the Palin's since day one.....but again, I'll bet he sued to get custody or visitation.....

the running for mayor thing was an idea that his producer came up with so that he could sell his running to a tv channel as a reality show. Its about making money and also as an attack on palin as he doesn’t actually live in wasilla, so why run a as a mayor there instead of his own district. He can’t run for mayor anyway because 1. he doesn’t live in the district and 2. he’s under 21. Of course that won’t stop the media from pushing this story

You’re right, she deserves no support from the state; however, she does deserve support from the Dad! A bit of difference here...

Now while I understand that the woman seems to get all the dough and the Father gets crap, in this instance, she deserves the support.

This is not always true, but still laws seem to support the woman way over the man in most cases...for which I disagree most emphatically! (Or to say - the man always gets screwed!). Wonder why marriages are down?
