Yep, I believe that's what Hickok45 said. But, the henry used the .44 rimfire (even during the CW) correct?

Yes, the Henry repeater used the .44 rimfire, since center fire ammo hadn’t been invented yet. The Henry and the Spencer were both used during the CW. The Spencer was more rugged but a little slower to operate and also had a more powerful cartridge. Some Spencer models had a coffee grinder built into the butt stock, which made them a prized item, since coffee was sold as the whole bean back in those times.
