Gene Hackman improves any movie. Including what should have been an Oscar winning cameo appearance in Young Frankenstein.
I don't think Unforgiven would have been quite as good without Gene Hackman as Little Bill. As far as Young Frankenstein, I loved the character but didn't realize that was him until about the third time I saw it. I was so used to him in big, strong roles that it just flew by me.

I saw that movie 14 times in the theater WAY back when I was a kid.
Loved Gene Wilder.
Anyway, Hackman did steal that movie!
