Why couldn’t it have waited until AFTER the election?

Some liberal staffer at his publisher probably gave the galleys to the White house weeks ago for them to scan and choose what parts to leak over the last week of the election. PREPARE. This is NOT the worst of it.

As an alcoholic, I got a chill up my spine by the first line of his book. I asked myself that very question a little over 6 months ago, and I regretted to admit that I couldn’t remember the last time I didn’t have a drink.

I give G.W. a TON of credit; quitting booze is no easy task, esp. for those among us who are predisposed to addictive personality traits (myself included).

You really have to just keep yourself busy to stay away from the feelings of need to drink. I’m sure sitting at 1600 Pennsylvania was enough to keep him sober for his 8 years.

Terrific! Let’s change the subject right before the election so nobody is talking about the economy. WHO DID THIS?

A line from a book?

And that’s just gonna turn all types of votes?

Seriously, people.

Bush apparently doesn’t understand how much the public has come to dislike him.

How on earth could he be so stupid as to do ANYTHING that could draw attention to himself this close to an election?

Nothing good can come of Bush being back in the spotlight. I have to think some liberals leaked the book knowing how much damage it could cause Republicans right before the election.

Do you guys really think releasing exerpts from the Bush book (don’t go there) will hurt the GOP on Tuesday? How? What can this book possibly reveal that hasn’t already been lied about by the ‘Rats? Don’t forget why people are going to the polls in droves... Stimulis, Obamacare, etc.. Bush didn’t do that... The only people that can possibly be hurt by this book is if he throws someone under the bus. Outside of that, W is old news and folks are tired of the blame Bush campaign.

Good grief, everyone, calm down! When the left bashes W it only strengthens my resolve to get out the vote! I’m fed up with these asshats blaming W for everything.

Wow...FReepers are really over reacting to this. BDS has gone viral. Not gonna affect Tuesday at all...how many have lamented, with billboards and blogs, ‘miss me yet?’

Non starter.

It is too late now for a proper October Surprise and they are traditional in Presidential election years, not so much in midterms, not generally, anyhow. Some individual candidates here and there get hit with things that have been saved up for October but there is usually no Big Surprise that affects the whole range of the midterms.
