That is so awesome. What a rare story. Usually it's worth than you imagined, and I was imagining issues with the rear end which can be as costly as transmission work. If they have also were able to identify an ignition problem then that's going to save you a lot of money in the long run.
FWIW I love my Ford truck, an '07 F250 which just rolled over 100,000 this week and I plan on buying another one before too long.

My 2000 Chev Silverado is 3K over 200K and going fine It’s had some work but they all require that. Previous truck was a ‘90 Silverado - 6 w/ 5 spd tran and a high speed rear end - best truck I ever had and lost it to a deer. 245K and still running smooth but the ins company got impatient - I couldn’t find a 2 wheel drive pu (new was not an option).
