MECCA -- A 3-year-old boy is in the hospital after being bitten by a dog.
It happened at about 9:35 a.m. in Mecca on the 70000 block of Conchella Dr.

Fire crews say the toddler has multiple dog bites, including one on the neck....
"I think they [the victim's family] knew it was aggressive,” said Jocelyn Aldana, a neighbor who called 911. “Maybe they should have done something about it before this happened. Keep an eye on your dogs. If it seems more aggressive, then do something about it.”
The child was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center. The dog was taken in by authorities to be tested for rabies.

Interestingly, the original story says the dog will be tested for rabies (which involves removing the head), but in this story they are waiting to find out if the family wants to keep it! I hope they do the right thing.
