I want to see the windshield wiper. That's $600 extra.

Whoa - with all that saved cash, a guy could pay a woman to talk to him!

Story is 17 months old. Price is likely a hoax. US availability, none.

Pretty neat. Please note - I am NOT criticizing, just asking an honest question.
I cannot find anything current in Google. - This was published in summer of 2009, and has been talked about since 2002... Does anyone know if this thing has hit the market as promised in the article?

if I could get one for $600, I’d buy one.
the US version would probably not be allowed without airbag,ABS, CARB-legal emissions,200 warning labels, and helmets.

I think the dog goes in the back on a treadmill to get that 258 mpg.
The kids and groceries go in the optional trailer.

See http://www.chinaeconomicreview.com/china-eye/2009_06_26/Urban_myth:_three_wheeler_for_China.html for proof that this is an urban legend. The car pictured here is not a three wheeler.

I think I’ll get one and drop a large block V-8 in it. It might hurt the gas mileage a bit, but I bet it’d be a real screamer.
Oh, wait a minute... ...a large block V-8 is BIGGER than this car.

I would too. Carbon fiber, German. It is probably safer than the old Beetle or old guys riding Harleys panicking and dropping their bikes.
It is shame Lee Marvin (Wild Ones on a Triumph) is not around to beat these old guys when they drop their bikes. He was a Marine wounded in the Battle of Saipan.

Illegal in nearly every U.S. state. Why do you say that?
Many states, including Virginia, currently define a motorcycle as simply "...any vehicle with three wheels or fewer in contact with the ground...". So, at the very least they could be registered as a motorcycles (which, by the way, would allow them to be operated in HOV lanes).
Also, legislation is being proposed in Virginia during the upcoming session which will allow 3-wheeled vehicles which are designed to be controlled via a steering wheel and foot operated throttle & brake, and which have a factory supplied roof/top as automobiles.

There’s also the BMW Isetta from, I think, the 60s and 70s.
