"I love the drain it puts on your profits."

This movie was made independently (for roughly $20M), and distributed (in the US) by Summit. Summit also happens to be the distributor for a little franchise called "Twilight". Fair Game has generated about $8M domestic, and another $8M international. Not counting marketing and distribution costs, it's still in the black. Counting those additional costs, it's WAY in the black. It might make some of that up on Cable/DVD, but it's pretty clear that ultimately it's going to be a loser. However, every time a teenager goes to see one the crap Twilight movies, this is the other crap that underwrites.

How much top-line revenue has Summit generated just on the Twilight franchise? Almost $790M, and that's only domestic boxoffice, not including foreign BO (under $790M+) or DVD. Summit can afford to underwrite a whole lot more "Fair Game"s.

Hollywood sells junk to our kids, so they can then in turn use those profits to offset their losses on political propaganda pieces like this one.

I knew there was a reason we’ve never seen one of those twilight movies.
Thanks for the info.

Don’t you mean “in the red?” Red is for losing money.
