Spolied brat defacing The Centopath. He is a history major at Cmabridge and claimed he did not know it was The Centopath!

I mean his step-father made millions from his co-socialist bandmate and rather unpleasant person Roger Waters writing songs grieving about the father he never knew who died at Anzio Beach. I do not like Waters but it is pretty sad. The other half of their songs have to do with poor Syd Barrett who was the most talented and charming one until drugs destroyed him.

Gilmour's step-son is a real POS. Claiming to not know he was swinging on a union jack on the Centopath. Disgusting.

Like that kid needed a subsidy for his tuition. What a little POS. He had better hope he doesn’t run into any of the EDL guys anytime soon.

Pink Floyd was smarter than Obama in the Album of the Decade:

Money, it’s a gas
Grab that cash with both hands
And make a stash

Money, it’s a crime
Share it fairly
But don’t take a slice of my pie

I've never heard of it, but I can read:

A very charming man and less socialist and less unpleasant than Waters. I recall on youtube he was interviewed as a young man in French and he spoke perfect French.

A great song is Is Your Love Strong Enough for a fantasy movie in the 1980s with Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) and Gilmour on guitar. Ferry’s son, Otis - name after Otis Redding, was arrested for storming Parliment for the pro-hunt group and pro countryside aka sort of like the Tea Party rural conservatives.

Dave Gilmour is, IMNSHO, one of the most underrated rock guitarists out there, because his style is so understated. Listen to the solo in Pigs, from Animals...what he does with one note, holding it out while the song changes and evolves around it, is more moving and colorful than what any platoon of 80s shred-meisters did with eight fingers and eight million notes. Gilmour is one of the best.

That said, he's a Socialist tool who needs to STFU and stick to playing guitar. His son is evidently an even bigger dipsh** who needs to spend a year or so getting buggered in prison to fully appreciate the freedom brave Britons fought and died to protect.

I'm not aware of (David) Gilmour being too politically outspoken...Waters, yes, but Gilmour? I'm not saying he isn't but it's not something that I've heard of or noticed. I do know he does a lot of low profile charity work, and has been pretty generous with his own money and time.

That said, sounds like his son is worthy of this Pink Floyd cover.

LOL! Oh God not that video. I watched it for 10 seconds and it was too painful. Gilmour a much nicer person than Waters and is less socialist.

Drummer Nick Mason has one of the nicest Ferrari collections in Europe and had company that provided WW2 replacica planes for movies.

He was later adopted by the Pink Floyd musician when she remarried.

Gilmour had a collection of vintage aircraft, but has sold them off in recent years. Gilmour also played for a while with Bryan Ferry who is probably the closest thing there has ever been to a "conservative" British rocker.

Here's one of my favorite Gilmour solo performances.

The “Live in Gdansk” DVD is simply awesome, and it was the perfect swan song for Rick Wright, one last time to hear Gilmour and Wright singing “Echoes”.

I remember him bashing Bush a few years back about the war, etc. Granted, I'm no fan of Bush, but I've always thought that if you're not a citizen of this country, you need to butt out of our politics. He certainly seems like an English gentleman in interviews, and I understand he does a lot of charity work. But unless he's going to become a citizen of the USA, he needs to shut up about our politics.

One of the reasons I have always been a Pink Floyd fan is not just because of the music but also because it was good to see the members of the band just be normal people without having to act out to make themselves interesting.

Gilmour has become a bit left of center in recent years and I think its his wifes (Polly) influence. There’s no doubt Waters being a leftist and that is by their own admission a chief reason why Pink Floyd split up. Gilmour, Mason and Wright were pretty conservative and couldn’t deal with his political rantings along with his power grabs anymore.

Bottom line, Daddy Gilmour is old enough to remember WWII and I think put his foot up his idiot stepsons arse...hence the apology.

Syd Barrett invented a unique style of guitar playing that was copied and monetized by Gilmour. It does not surprise me that the son is also a few cents short.
