West Palm Beach man confronts neighbor over bad spell

A West Palm Beach man who'd had enough of the voodoo curse his neighbor put on him was arrested after he threw a rock through the neighbor's window.

Renald Louis, 26, was charged Sunday with shooting or throwing a missile into a dwelling, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Louis had allegedly tossed the rock through 45-year-old Delvin Carter's living room window, narrowly missing his daughter who was sitting on a couch.

Carter went outside and confronted Louis, who had another rock in his hand.

"You put voodoo on me," said Louis. "Take it off." Louis was arrested and being held on $25,000 bond. No one was injured in the incident, and it was unknown whether the curse had been lifted.

it was unknown whether the curse had been lifted.

It's impossible to "lift" a curse which doesn't exist in the first place.

Personally, I will only throw rocks at someone who I think can't put a voodoo curse on me

When I was growing up, we had a neighbor that cursed all the time.

Yeah, what's with that? Threatening the voodooer only makes the voodooee's life more miserable.

Shoulda burned some chicken feet and such instead.

It didn't "work" anymore than a kid pretending to be Harry Potter can cast a spell and fly. Magic isn't real.

Why is it that I’m suddenly humming Santana’s “Black Magic Woman”?

In the America of the future Delvin will be practicing medicine. He will have some awesome rattles and a cool ebony mask garlanded with chicken feathers. “Our Diversity Is Our Strength.”

“You put voodoo on me,” said Louis.

Simply wash in a vat of rancid bat droppings to remove the voodoo.

Our neighbor (my friend) was going to sell to a black family. The Italian lady a few doors away put a curse on my friend...wow...she was really going nutso. The black family didn’t wind up with the house.

Has anyone seen Screamin Jay Hawkins lately?

Last time I saw him, he was singing Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me!"

Estimates Of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' Offspring Revised Upward (Mon. August 07.2000)

Hawkins originally estimated he fathered up to 57 children. But now, recently discovered video footage of the man born Jalacy J. Hawkins has him estimating his progeny at 75, and maybe more.

Maral Nigolian, who befriended Hawkins shortly before the singer's death at age 70 on Feb. 12 of last year, has spearheaded a Web site, www.jayskids.com, to help find Hawkins' missing spawn.

That's strange; when I heard about saddled men I figured the story was from San Francisco.
