Are they going to put Flash 10.1 on it. The Android 2.2 has Flash 10.1, and it works well. Are there other formats the ipod can’t currently play? Presumably the new ipod will have hdmi out so the ipod can be connected with the big tv.

There is NO WAY that Flash will be part of the iPad. The iPad doesn't handle Java, I believe. There are 30-pin dongles already to hook up the iPad/iPod Touch to a big screen.

I don’t have any of these gadgets, but it’s looking like the functionality of these Android devices is getting to the point that I want one. I think I probably would prefer a sub $200 device that’s pretty much a full computer - full internet with flash, that I could fit in a jacket / sweatshirt pocket. These iphones ipads have always been cool but they’ve always lacked the functionality. The Motorola Xoom won some best in show award at CES. I’m sure that the Xoom would meet my needs, but, since I really don’t need one, I’ll wait till theres a generic one with the same functionality for $200.

I really don’t like Apples attitude toward Flash, and their attitude about a lot of things. Is that a 3rd party cord, does this have hdmi?
