Before you buy any candy, you should look on the package to see where it was manufactured. You might be surprised that many American brands are now being manufactured out of our country. As an example, some Brach candy (candy corn and jelly beans)are being made in Mexico and South America. I used to work for them, it was a good American company until purchased by Europeans.

American sugar protectionist policies make it difficult for candy manufacturers to make stuff in the US. Sugar is cheaper in other countries.
