My bro and a friend took me ( my 15th birthday ) to see Stevie on the “Couldn’t Stand the Weather” tour:

The T-Birds ( Kim Wilson and Jimmie Lee) opened the show...

Later, Jimmie and Stevie played/shared a double neck guitar while Charlie Wurtz ( Life Without You / Charlies Guitar Shop) played six string bass...Will Rodgers Auditorium..Ft.Worth, Texas...

I will never forget it, dude. I love you brother!

A personal favorite. Both Vaughan brothers on one guitar.

Just amazing, the things that pop up on FR!

In my user name, the “oc” = Oak Cliff, where I grew up.

After the Heights theater in OC stopped showing movies, SRV, brother and some other musicians would sometimes play there for a few hundred folks. SRV was still in HS at Kimball back then and I believe he got a recording deal and dropped out of HS. The guy was a true genius with a guitar in his hands! He died too young.
