I agree about secrets in an Army unit. I got out after being an enlisted guy in the Army for 20+ years in 2004. I never heard anything about stuff like this in the Army. 50,000 guys? I also cannot imagine a CO telling a victim of something like this that it must have been his fault when he reported it. I call pure BS on it.
This is a primer piece from Newsweek so that the public won’t be “surprised” by all of the harassment complaints that start when DADT goes into full gear. Didn’t you know the Army is just like prison?! I was in for almost 8 years as an officer. Secrets last about 15 minutes in a unit. This kind of crap wasn’t going on - plenty of other stuff does, but not this.
