The Strongly Disapprove has been dropping steadily for six months. The trend is not our friend. We need to get our side fired up and I’m not seeing anyone on the ticket that can get the people to the street the way they did last year at this time.

we are in a political lull right now. No major legislation, no major issues. the bin Laden thing is still the freshest issue on many people’s minds. Until the pain of the falling dollar hits people harder this summer and/or the economy clearly shows slowing down to the average person, we will probably see a little higher numbers. His numbers were lowest when he and the Dems were pushing unpopular legislation in 2010. There isn’t going to be anything like Obamacare coming from the Dems leading up to the next election because they don’t want to hurt themselves further, nor are they in a position to implement anything with a GOP House. The numbers will depend on the direction of the economy and will be impacted by the developments of the presidential race.

Don’t know what is going on at Rasmussen. This is the fifth straight day of Obama at -10. The Bamster has not had the same negative or positive number for 5 days in a row since he became TOTUS. Given his recent speech on the Middle East something seems a bit wrong with a constant of -10 at Rasmussen.

This is part of the Newt bounce. That idiot cost us NY26 and has now put the GOP on the defensive around the Ryan budget. The GOP needs to regroup and come up with a clear message or this is going to be a trend and not a bump.

Newt had very little if anything to do with NY 26.

NY 26 was lost because a) a Democrat fraudulently posing as a Tea Party endorsed candidate siphoned off 8 - 9 percent of the Republican vote, and b) Corwin was a weak candidate.

Corwin was unable to articulate that the Ryan Plan would have no effect on seniors who currently receive Medicare benefits.

Hochul was essentially defending Obamacare which strips $500 billion OUT of Medicare and destroys Medicare Advantage and got away with it.

....10% Unemployment & 5 dollars a gallon gasoline.

Neither which is true. Unemployment is not 10 percent and gas is not even close to 5 bucks. In fact, gas is falling like crazy the last few weeks. He needs to get below 50 percent approval soon.....and we need to be accurate in our posts.

Come on down to CT and see if you change your mind. At any rate, thanks for knowing it all. It's quite comforting.
