Funny, but most US jets with multiple seats will all eject if the pilot punches out. The worst plane for a command eject was the EA-6B because the first out is one of the back seat guys at zero seconds, the next back seat guy goes +0.4 seconds, the front seat ECMO goes at +0.8 sec. The pilot goes at +1.2 seconds and by that time the aircraft is often low and upside down. Not good.

Meaning that when the pilot says “eject” he’s gone two seconds after he/she says it. You’d better eject somewhere in that one or two second window.

I’m thinking that if the eject sequence is initiated it’s all automatic. So the pilot has to wait until the sequence gets to him/her before ejection??? Bummer.

Looks like that Russian air show a few years back. Killed 23 people or so when that plane hit. Could be mistaken though but it sure looks like pictures of it I saw.
