Won't someone stop the Cycle of Violence?
Running into barbed wire hurts like hell at walking speed, perpendicular to the fence, with regular clothes on (I've done that a few times in the woods, ouch!).
I can't begin to imagine the pain of hitting it lengthwise at what, 40 MPH or so, wearing spandex shorts.
Just.... damn.
There's a third option... look where you're going, and use that funny looking horizontal pedal in between the clutch and accelerator. It works! I've tried it!
To be honest, all those cars & Motorcycles in among the bicycles and handing ut water and jockeying for pictures and not paying attention to trees coming up is a dangerous situation anyway.
Too many different types of vehicles all mixed into a mess.
Yeah the guy could have used the brake, the guy could have hit the tree , but the fact is it’s a bicycle race and they don’t need cars and motorcycles in there in the way.
Take the cars and the motorcycles out of there. Station water breaks, and picture taking along the route.
