There are a number of interesting scriptures that kinda relate and cause one to wonder if they are based on the accounts of survivors of such an event(NIV):

Luke 23:30 Then "'they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!"'

Hose 10:8 ...Then they will say to the mountains, “Cover us!” and to the hills, “Fall on us!”

Rev. 6:16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
