Tropical Depression Two has formed in the Western Atlantic Ocean off the Florida coast. Recon. data reflect near-tropical storm strength winds. A tropical storm warning has been issued for Grand Bahama Island and the Abaco Islands in the northwest Bahamas. The system is currently drifting south with weak steering currents. Early forecast map predicts the storm will remain off the U.S. mainland coast.

This system does not appear to be a direct threat to the U.S. mainland.

SE Atlantic coast, be alert for high surf advisories. The
system is currently drifting south, very near tropical
storm strength.

If you have not already done so, now is a very good time to check
supplies in your Hurricane Preparedness Kit.

Thanks, Uncle Ike. I was preparing to post the same. 1-COUNTER-MORTER-68 was an active contributor to the hurricane threads for several years, providing colorful local reports from Louisiana. I will certainly miss him. RIP.

Assuming you’re talking about the storm, I agree. A few years ago one just sat there for a week or two before moving North.

Economic Depression Barack continues to batter both coasts as well as the middle of the country. Computer models show that no relief is predicted until after November 2012.
