Is the opposite of the Mideast the Midwest?

If there is a Northwestern College and a Northwestern University, is there a Eastnortheastern or Southsouthwestern Community College somewhere?

I've used "Southeastern University" in some of my fiction. I hope there isn't a real one.

From where I sit, the Midwest is really EAST.

From the center of the States, I think the Midwest is Mideast.
