(And lest I be accused of misanthropy, I'd say the same about a woman who sold her eggs for others' use. A person who will sell his/her progeny is not a "keeper."

While you are on terminology strangeness, why do they call it a sperm "bank"? When I make a deposit at a bank, I expect to get it (or its fungible equivalent) back plus interest. Has anyone ever used the rule of 72 to calculate how much extra sperm they should get after making a withdrawal at the bank?
