It's going on today and tomorrow. Follow the link, or maybe ridesthemiles can give us an update. I'm in the middle of some carbine cleaning right now... back in a while.
I rode until I finished high school and moved on. Couldn’t keep a horse in an apartment. I did send my daughters to horse camp through their school years during the summer. Somehow, my sons were more attracted to gears and grease. Go figure that one... My youngest, who your son graciously gave a tour of Benderville Racing and Stordor (bait out back) is going to be a motorhead, and even if civilization ends and we live in a cave in the Henry mountains hunting woodchucks with spears, that boy is gonna have his big block V8.
The single greatest accomplishment of my life was steering my daughter away from horses and on to Mini-Bikes and Motor Cycles...
Well then, I hope they get them all out come morning. ;)
It looks like there is some heavy rain north of you. I imagine a couple of days of that and some of those reservoirs would be over flowing...
Trying to watch the baseball game and it keeps getting stopped. Looks real wet compared to what we’re getting. If it were cooler, it would pass for a passing flock of geese.
Glad you are finally getting some.
The cat sat on the bed, staring out the window this morning at it.
Hmmmm, Haiku from you.
Home to clean crisp desert air. Need to check the weather radar. We flew over some nasty stuff coming back from JFK yesterday. Glad to see you’re getting some rain. Saw a LOT of snow on the peaks of Colorado/Utah/California that wasn’t there when we left 9 days ago.
I think this is how the last ice age started, the snow starts earlier and ended later each succeeding year. That’s how I remember it anyway...
Glad you made it back in one piece, was wondering if you were going to clear that front.
Had massive thunder an lightning early this morning, not much water though. Sidewalk is barely damp anymore.
Will post some pictures when I have time. We’re doing laundry and packing as we leave tomorrow for Eugene. Walking on the race-track at Dover (you couldn’t do it inebriated - steep!) and the 9-11 Memorial were two of the many high-lights. Meet some great folks at the Dover race from North Carolina. The couple told us they have two full rooms and have started on a third room holding nothing but memorabilia from the races they’ve attended. Is Vox our residence Kyle Busch fan? I’ve got a true story about meeting K.B. that I’d like to share with him.
Will wait patiently for the pics (3,2,1). ;)
We used to have several KyBu fans, seems like most have disappeared though.
We have sunshine out now...
I’m going to Church this morning but I need y’all to call me when the service is over and give me a weather update. If it’s raining in Oz I’ll stay for Fellowship but if the race is a go I will Rush home for the #100 post. Fair enough?
Not a problem.
Working on breakfast at the moment, have to get busy since it’s almost noon.
The snow here has consolidated down to about 4 inches of slush. Had to snow shovel the deck to make a place for the smoker grill.
My countdown to PIR has begun!
Morning, thought I missed the start.
still time to screw up my team! Weee
mmmmm...coffee!
