So your payment is due on the 1st and you choose to wait until the 9th to pay it and you are upset because during this grace period offered by the bank they give you a call asking for the payment? How about just making the payment when it is due?

Hear hear! What people also don't realize is they are being charged interest for all those days they are late. Just because there's a grace period doesn't mean the payment isn't due on the due date. That's why when you call for your payoff amount, it's always higher--all that interest accumulates (I know, it's not usually THAT much, but it does add up).
