I hope the Rangers can come back from this lopsided 16-7 loss, but I still have to take my hat off to a masterful performance by Alber Pujols.

Thank the Phils for letting this demon team into the postseason.

The 1926 Ruth homers were against the Cards, Ruth was caught stealing for the final out of game 7 and the Yanks lost the game 3-2 and the series.

Ask Brad Lidge. Pujols can reach into an entire city’s chest and pull their heart out.

That first HR he hit today was one helluva blast, smashing into the facade of the 2nd deck with incredible force. Who knows have far that thing would’ve traveled.

Maybe this will shut all of the wannabe athlete sports writers for a while.

I doubt it though.

You think Pujols will talk to the press today now that she’s not butt hurt?

As a Brewers fan, it makes me feel a little better about the beating the Cards gave us. I really thought the Rangers were going to pound the Cards.

Actually when he does it twice he’ll tie the record. Babe Ruth has the record.

I wonder what was worse tonight, the Rangers’ pitching or OU’s defense?

Congratulations, Mr. Pujols. Even though I’m rootin’ for Nolan Ryan’s team.

Pujols is great but what Reggie Jakson did was truly amazing. He also hit three home runs in one game but what some forget is the game before that one he hit a home run on
his last at bat and then in the following game hit home runs on his next 3 consecutive at bats and each one on the first pitch thrown.

Four consecutive pitches and four home runs. Probably will never see that happen again.

St. Louis would be nuts to let Albert get away.

I left the game where Jackson had his three homers in the second inning. (I was working at the Stadium, and had press box access, player lot parking, etc., but I could never get out of there fast enough.)
