Didn't mean that to demean the Cards but the Phillies, they had 3 throw-away games against Atlanta, Atlanta wins 2 and the Cards stay home, the Cards beat the Phils 6 out of 9 games during the season, Arizona 3-3, Brewers 3-4, Rangers 1-2. The Cards were the only team other than Seattle and Washington that the Phils had a losing record against. They didn't do the math or the scouting. BTW the Phils scored zero runs against Garcia during the regular season.
On realities side the Phils played so bad I don't think they would have got past arizona anyway.
